ballot propositions in the golden triangle

Early voting began today in Texas and will continue through Nov. 3. North Texas voters are faced with several bond elections and propositions this year. If you plan to vote, make sure you are prepared to vote up or down on each referendum.

Denton County
Denton, Sanger, Aubrey, Krum, Argyle, Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Corral City, Northlake

Dallas County
Dallas, Irving, Coppell, Lancaster, Glenn Heights, Cockrell Hill, Richardson, Sachse, Wilmer

Tarrant County
Arlington, Grapevine, Keller, Azle, Everman, Samson Park, Forest Hill, Burleson

If you are aware of another proposition on any ballot in North Texas that isn't listed here, please let us know in a comment! We'll be happy to add it. Inform yourself and vote!

Early Voting and General Election polling places found here.

Use the link above, along with your voter card to find your precinct and location. Sample ballots may be found at this Denton County website.

BTW, the Denton RC Article linked to above mischaracterizes Tim Barnwell's position with regard to Healthcare. It uses the word "nationalize", which is just wrong in many ways. It implies confiscation and conscription, which could not be further from what Barnwell is suggesting.

Read more about Tim Barnwell's Healthcare Ideas

Probably an innocent mistake in the choice of words by the reporter, but as we know words carry a lot of meaning. Universal and comprehensive healthcare is NOT about socialized medicine or nationalization - it's about single-payer (Government) and multi-provider (Free Market).

Regarding Richardson liquor sales ballot measure:

I printed my sample ballot and it is listed there (see link here: http://www.dalcoelections.org/november72006/ballots/b2-3.pdf).

In addition, a snippet is on the LWV Richardson site here: http://lwvrichardson.org/elections.html

And it is in the list of Dallas county elections at the DalCo site here: http://www.dalcoelections.org/november72006/elections.asp

The only info I found on the CoR website is listed here: http://www.cor.net/Elections/homepage.html
